now I haven't heard back from these manufacturers (i hate using that word, maybe from now on I should say designers)

they have come up with a midi pickup that operates via Bluetooth
Universal Serial Bus is too slow and Firewire hasn't been implemented
I have heard it tracks VERY well but still has the same glitch problem associated with MIDI pickups
