I cannot recommend this link more highly. it is a great document detailing the notion of learning from design as you progress. a lot of amazing concepts in regards to "back to the drawing board" and minimalist guitar building

what the HELL is going on here?
that's not the half of it. time to flip this instrument over
well that didn't help at all. maybe look at this from a different angle
this is a different instrument and I think where the the thumb sits it is even more concave.
makes me think if there was no need for a truss rod, i.e. make the neck out of something other than wood, what other neck profiles could be made?
